Overview
The role is based on site in Acton (West London) and you will be required to attend site 3 days a week. As the Junior Buyer you will assist the Procurement Team in managing the company’s requirements for procuring materials, plant & services on behalf of the project. You will liaise with suppliers and project staff on a daily basis and will conduct all procurement activities in accordance with the company regulations and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with technical leads, estimators and Buyers to obtain quotes for products.
- Raise and manage all purchase requisitions and ensure purchasing requisitions are delivered in a timely manner and in line with the project requirements.
- Manage the approvals of Supplier PQQs and credit applications.
- Assist Buyers in expediting open purchase orders to ensure goods are delivered on time.
- Assist in resolving counts queries by analysing SAP and discussing with the supplier.
- Assist Senior Buyers with developing Invitation to Tender packs in readiness to advertise to the marketplace and uploading opportunities to CompeteFor and Asite as required.
- Assist with management of Tenders in the marketplace (e.g., managing supplier clarifications, downloading supplier bids).
- Record and report savings in accordance with established guidelines.
- Engage and communicate efficiently with internal customers and other functions as necessary in executing project activities.
- Maintain an ethical approach to tasks and relationships in accordance with relevant Anthro policies.
- Conduct procurement activities in accordance with company and departmental procedures governance guidelines.
- Support monthly procurement reporting activities.
Qualifications
- Previous procurement/buying experience.
- Good understanding of administrative processes.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex and technical information clearly.
- Proficient in MS Office programs, namely Excel and Word.
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, with an A-C grade in English and Maths.
- Excellent time management skills and good attention to detail.
- Able to communicate through various mediums to a wide range of audiences.
- Proactive and forward thinking; able to work flexibly and manage changing priorities.
- Self-motivated and driven to develop within the role.
