We require multipleCAD Designer\’sto work within our engineering consultancy division undertaking Optioneering, Front End Engineer Design (FEED) and Detailed Design on various projects including customer connections, system reinforcement and asset replacement projects.
You will have the opportunity to work on projects that will be across the UK Power Sector, including the National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) system, Distribution Networks and Developer led BESS, Solar and Data Centre projects.
Ideal candidates will have experience in the UK Power Sector but this is not essential as you will be supported by our team of industry experts and provided with a library of engineering templates to utilise. We require someone who isproficient in the use of 2D,who can support the Principal Engineers in developing new, and amending existing, drawings to support the project requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide CAD support for the production of electrical primary equipment layout and elevation drawings, Single Line Diagrams (SLD), Key Line Diagrams (KLD) outline cable route drawings, secondary schematics, wiring diagrams and support the production of outline optioneering drawing packages as directed by Principal and/or Discipline Specific Design Engineers.
- Produce a Contract Drawing List (CDL) identifying all the drawings being produced or updated as part of the works.
- Ensure that formally issued project drawings are provided in accordance with client requirements
- Must be a self-starter, capable of working remote from management.
- Must have 5years experience of working in an engineering sector and ideally the Power sector
- Proficient in the use of 2D CAD, MS Word, MS Outlook and MS Excel.
- Must have own car with full driving licence and be willing to travel for company business.
- Experience with 3D CAD is desirable.
- Experience with SR188/TP188 is desirable.
- Must already have the Right to Work in the UK or be able to secure this prior to commencement of the role.
Home based, with the option of working from Omnia offices (Stafford, Stockton Heath and Northallerton), as per project requirements. Must be willing to travel anywhere throughout the UK. Possible job locations: UK, Ireland, Poland
Working Hours:
Ideally full time but may consider part time staff positions.
