About the role: We are seeking an experienced Construction Health & Safety professional to join our team in Glasgow or Edinburgh. You will be self‑motivated, client‑focused and able to work independently, bringing a proven track record of delivering excellence in health and safety.
- Perform tasks to a high standard, meeting all duties expected of a competent health and safety professional.
- Administer project work in line with T&A policies, practices and procedures.
- Represent T&A in the marketplace and participate in business development activities as required.
- Act on behalf of T&A in a polite and professional manner, ensuring company values are maintained and promoted.
- Ensure adequate and timely communication channels for effective service delivery.
- Coordinate and prepare information to support the client, listening to their requirements and acting accordingly.
- Provide robust, pragmatic health and safety guidance to clients and design teams on effective approaches to achieve project deliverables.
- Ensure others meet their obligations under health and safety legislation.
- Oversee, review and approve junior staff work where required for project appointments.
- Represent T&A in a professionally competent and positive manner, maintaining the highest standards of service quality and integrity.
- Report to the client and stakeholders in line with client requirements and company standards.
About you:

Qualifications:
- Relevant experience in a consultancy environment as Principal Designer, Client Adviser, Adviser to Principal Designer or general Health & Safety adviser.
- Hold relevant qualifications or professional membership; APS membership highly desirable.
- Knowledge of fire risk and asbestos risk management.
- Awareness of current health & safety legislation and ability to conduct audits.
- Strong core health and safety skills reflected in successful project delivery across various sectors.
- Understanding of traditional and modern procurement routes and construction contract suites.
- Knowledge of modern construction methods.
- Experience establishing good relationships with multiple clients.
- Understanding of design principles and related knowledge.
