We are now looking for a PM or Senior PM to join our team in Glasgow or Edinburgh. As an active PM, you will undertake multiple and complex work assignments, delivering within timeframes and managing resources to provide exemplary professional services to our clients. You will work autonomously and within a team, delivering best-in-class services across multiple projects and sectors for a broad range of clients. Your approach will reflect T&A’s values and deliver a personal, quality-focused service that aligns with clients’ business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Planning
- Strategic project structuring.
- Development of Project Management Plans.
- Establishing master programmes, identifying project milestones and project team member responsibilities.
- Interrogation of construction programmes, agreeing changes or enhancements.
- Engaging
- Defining, liaising with and managing key stakeholders.
- Establishing, implementing and leading project meetings with all project team members and stakeholder groups.
- Producing project correspondence ensuring actions are clearly defined and delivered upon by all project team members within agreed timescales.
- Procuring
- Producing and issuing scopes of services and request for proposals (RFPs) and other appointment documents.
- Participating in tender document preparation with Cost Management to ensure project requirements are reflected.
- Reviewing tender returns from a technical compliance standpoint.
- Leading negotiations with contractors to ensure tender costs represent best value.
- Managing Risk, Delivering Value
- Reviewing design packages for compliance with the project brief.
- Leading value engineering and risk review workshops.
- Compiling and tracking risk mitigation activities and value engineering opportunities.
- Assessing contractor’s claims for delay events and working with the commercial team to establish entitlement.
- Project Administration
- Assessing and reporting on contractor progress and commercial matters during delivery.
- Assessing on-site quality and raising instructions for defect rectification when necessary.
- Managing the design team to ensure all contract requirements are fulfilled.
- Managing and coordinating responses to technical queries or requests for information.
- Processing Contract Instructions and other contractually mandated procedures.
- Ensuring document management and communications protocols are adhered to.
- General Duties
- Overseeing/ reviewing/ approving the work of sub-consultants or project team members.
- Providing other professional services as directed by the Partner/Director and/or as required by project appointments.
- Participating in and delivering professional development and training to further knowledge and experience.
- Building and maintaining culture; mentoring junior staff.
- Networking and supporting business development objectives.
