Joining our Group and its 19,000 employees means, above all, sharing our values as a people‑first company, strongly committed to sustainability and innovation. Egis is a leader in the vibrant sector of infrastructure engineering, planning, and management, tasked with sustaining efficient commercial lifecycle stewardship amidst interactions with various third‑party entities.

As Egis expands its service delivery across the UK, Ireland, and broader European markets, we are committed to becoming the engineering partner of choice while also expanding our talented team. At Egis, we prioritise our people, and to enhance our tendering capabilities, we are looking to recruit a skilled Water and Environment PMO Management Lead to realise our growth plans and ensure cost‑effectiveness and compliance.

The role will operate as part of the Energy and Sustainable Cities Business Line. This period marks an exhilarating time to join Egis's new Project, Programme, PMO and Commercial Management Capability (“P3M CM”) UK, Ireland and Europe team, which is undergoing a transformative phase. The P3M CM Function at Egis is deeply committed to boosting strategic operations and overall efficacy by:

  • Developing a premier capability and team;
  • Proactively engaging with markets and suppliers;
  • Streamlining and enhancing operational workflows;
  • Achieving results through strong commercial policies.

Amidst the challenges of managing the extensive infrastructure needs of Europe, these dynamic transformations offer numerous opportunities to contribute significantly to Egis's establishment as a leader in the infrastructure sector.

About the Role

The importance of this role within the P3M CM team has been reinforced following a strategic review in 2024/25, leading to an updated operational matrix model that integrates all aspects of the commercial lifecycle with essential business partnering responsibilities. Reporting to the Senior Director for Programme and Commercial Management UK, Ireland and Europe, your role as Associate Director will involve leading work‑winning initiatives across Europe focusing on strategic service offer, offer benchmarking, risk management, teaming or partnership arrangements, and operations in the Water and Environment Sector.

Your primary goal will be to drive Service Excellence in PMO Management at Egis within these sectors, delivering services that closely align with customer satisfaction, business needs, and stakeholder interests, thus establishing yourself as a trusted PMO advisor. Additionally, you will be responsible for nurturing relationships with Egis’s key and strategic suppliers to secure service quality, value for money and superior capability management. The role will focus on the UK and Ireland and has potential for promotion to Europe.

Your responsibilities will include directing various facets of the PMO associated with the Project and Programme lifecycle, with a focus on strategic pricing/cost policy development, analysing commercial options, and overseeing the procurement process. This role involves formulating and implementing strategic PMO management plans, conducting supplier negotiations as needed, and providing timely and effective support and expertise to the business.

As a leader within the P3M CM function, you will play a crucial role in setting standards across the Energy and Sustainable Cities Business Line focusing on Water and Environment.
