As an Assistant Project Manager, you will support the Project Manager in delivering Design and Engineering projects, including planning, execution, and delivery, in line with the contract scope.
Close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including Designers, Engineers, Clients, and third-party Stakeholders, is essential to meet project objectives on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
Experience in the UK Power Sector is preferred but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager in defining and delivering scope and deliverables per project requirements, on time, within quality standards, and budget.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
- Support stakeholder management throughout the project lifecycle.
- Contribute to the commercial aspects of projects under NEC 4 contract arrangements.
- Assist in managing project risks to the business and clients.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.
- Ensure proactive management of Health, Safety, and Environmental issues during the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with legislation and company policies in all project activities.
Qualifications
- Experience in project delivery.
- Basic knowledge of NEC 4 contracts.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary teams.
- Stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of CDM and safety/environmental legislation.
- Understanding of project management practices and tools.
- Customer-focused approach.
Essential Qualifications
- Right to work in the UK or ability to obtain it before starting.
Desirable Qualifications
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
- Membership of IET or IAM.
- Management qualifications like APM, IPMA Level C, Prince2, or PMP.
Location:
Home-based with options to work from Omnia offices (Stafford, Stockton Heath, Northallerton). Willingness to travel across the UK is required.
