Department:
Your Tasks
- Operate as a member of the team within the Barony Production Department helping to achieve optimum plant utilisation and efficiency.
- Contribute an acceptable level of housekeeping in the Department and to maintain a safe, clean and tidy workplace, machinery and site.
- Undertake a comprehensive training programme to be able to run every aspect of the Production Department within the Grade 3 criteria.
- Carry out thorough Pre and Post Use Checks checking on machinery condition and surrounding area.
- Complete shift reports as required and to carry out appropriate shift handovers including any specific production relevant information.
- Ensure that the production operation and related tasks are conducted in a safe working manner and that any incidents, accidents, hazards and near misses are duly reported.
- Ensure all safety precautions as detailed in the Health and Safety manual are followed and that safety equipment and PPE is in good order and used at all times.
- Liaise with the Shift Supervisor as to the condition of the Mechanical/ Electrical equipment, production plant and relating problems.
- Observe and comply with the Company Quality Systems as detailed in the Quality Manual.
- Maintain high levels of safety, quality and environmental awareness within the department.
- Attend any further training as required.
- Provide absence / holiday cover for other operators when required.

- Fork Lift Truck Licence.
- Basic standard of IT skills.
- Able to work Monday - Friday 06:00am - 14:00pm and 14:00pm - 10:00pm (There will be requirement for holiday cover through the week and occasional weekend shifts to support absences).
