Your Tasks
- Assemble, install, maintain and repair electrical installations, machines and equipment across our site.
- Respond rapidly and effectively to incidents or installation breakdowns.
- Undertake a comprehensive 4-year training programme to learn all the tasks required of a member of our Electrical Maintenance team.
- Complete off-site training in the first year to achieve an apprentice standard qualification in Electrical Engineering.
- Spend the following 3 years on site supported by day release.
- Develop and maintain working knowledge of Siemens PLCs while working on a range of projects and making short presentations on your progress.
Our Requirements
- Good standard of secondary education with a minimum of 5 GCSEs grade C / 4 or above, including Maths, English, Science and a GCSE in Technology or Engineering would also be advantageous.
- Basic standard of IT skills and competent use of Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong interest in Electrical principles and practice.
