About The Role
EGGER Timberpak is looking for a reliable and safety‑focused HGV Driver / Operator to join our team in Bellshill. This is a hands‑on role combining professional driving with operational support on site, helping to ensure efficient collection, transport and handling of timber materials. You will play a key role in maintaining high safety standards, delivering excellent customer service, and supporting site operations.

Starting salary: £35,426 per annum (16.03/hr) – working 42.5 hrs per week, including paid breaks.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate HGV vehicles including walking floor trailer and hook loader cover.
- Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report defects promptly.
- Ensure loads are safe, secure and compliant before transport.
- Follow all road safety, tachograph and transport regulations.
- Deliver and collect materials from customer sites safely and professionally.
- Maintain clear communication with customers, ensuring awareness of terms and conditions.
- Adhere to customer site rules and maintain excellent service standards.
- Report all incidents, hazards or near misses promptly.
- Support site operations and maintain a clean, tidy working environment.
- Complete required documentation including defect sheets and tachograph records.
- Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of assigned vehicles.
- Participate in training to operate Timberpak machinery and equipment.
What We’re Looking For
- H.G.V. licence (class one) is essential, with a minimum of one years experience.
- Valid driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Strong commitment to health and safety.
- Walking floor experience required.
- Good awareness of vehicle safety, load security and driving regulations.
- Customer‑focused with a professional and courteous manner.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible and reliable with a hands‑on approach.
- Recognised certificate holder for mobile plant (advantageous but not essential).
