Responsibilities
- Produce and assemble machine parts, support commissioning, maintenance, and installation of machinery across the site.
- Complete a 4‑year apprenticeship programme covering all tasks required for a Mechanical Maintenance team member.
- First year: off‑site training at SETA in Washington (transport provided) to achieve an apprenticeship standard in Mechanical Engineering; 3 years on‑site with day release, opportunity to work towards an HNC qualification.
Requirements
- Self‑motivated learner with excellent interpersonal skills; able to collaborate across departments.
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs grade C/4 or above, including Maths, English, Science, and a GCSE in Technology or Engineering (advantageous).
- Basic IT proficiency and competent use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong interest in mechanical principles and practice.
