What You Will Be Doing
As a Summer Engineering Placement student, you will support our electrical or mechanical engineering teams on a variety of tasks that keep our modern production facility running efficiently. Your responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with maintenance activities, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement tasks
- Working with experienced engineers to support planned and reactive maintenance
- Gaining hands‑on experience with industrial machinery and plant equipment
- Contributing to efficiency, reliability, and safety improvements within the site
- Participating in team meetings and learning how engineering supports wider production goals
- Involved in progressive expansion and modernisation of the production facility
Safety Responsibilities
At EGGER, safety is our top priority. As part of the placement, you will be expected:
- To ensure that all operations and related tasks are conducted safely, and that any incidents, accidents, or hazards are promptly reported.
- To follow all Health & Safety procedures, ensuring the correct use and care of safety equipment at all times.
