What you will be doing...
- Undertake a comprehensive training programme carried out at the Barony site and Ayrshire College on day release.
- Undertake a period of on-the-job training with a Shift Mechanical Fitter; shift work will be required.
- Complete and maintain all reports and records required for SEMTA (Science, Engineering and Manufacturing Technologies Apprenticeship) awards scheme.
- Liaise with the Mechanical Engineer in the repair and maintenance of all equipment on dayshift to the highest standards.
What we need from you...
- For all apprenticeships, we are looking for self-motivated learners with excellent interpersonal skills.
- You will also need 4 National 5 qualifications or equivalent at Grade C or above, or predicted, including Maths, English, Science and Technology based subjects.
- Basic standard of IT skills.
