The Commercial Contract Manager will take ownership of a large and complex portfolio of commercial agreements supporting Egg Power’s renewable energy assets. This includes Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), Route-to-Market (RTM) agreements, and wider revenue stack contracts including Capacity Market and CfD agreements. The role will be responsible for managing over 50 active contracts, ensuring full compliance with contractual obligations, coordinating complex internal and external reporting requirements, and optimising commercial performance across the contract lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Ownership & Lifecycle Management: Act as the single point of accountability for 50+ commercial contracts. Manage the full contract lifecycle, including onboarding, implementation, performance monitoring, amendments, and renewals. Ensure all contractual obligations are clearly understood and met by internal and external parties.
- Commercial Performance & Revenue Optimisation: Monitor and optimise revenue streams across PPAs, RTM agreements, and ancillary services. Track contract performance against commercial expectations and identify improvement opportunities. Support revenue reconciliation, settlements, and billing accuracy.
- Reporting & Compliance: Coordinate and deliver complex reporting requirements, including regulatory reporting, technical and operational reporting, and commercial and financial performance reporting. Ensure all reporting obligations under contracts and regulatory frameworks are met accurately and on time. Proactively manage the Group’s REGO responsibilities with Ofgem. Maintain audit-ready documentation across the contract portfolio.
- Risk Management & Contract Compliance: Identify, manage, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks. Ensure compliance with all contract terms to protect revenue and avoid disputes or warranty issues. Support the management of contractual claims, disputes, and performance issues.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the central interface between internal teams (commercial, finance, legal, technical) and external counterparties. Coordinate inputs currently distributed across 4–5 stakeholders into a cohesive contract management approach. Build strong relationships with offtakers, route-to-market providers, and other key partners.
- Governance & Process Improvement: Establish and improve contract management processes, tools, and controls. Enhance visibility and tracking of contract obligations and performance. Support audits and ensure proper documentation and version control.
- Support to Commercial Strategy & Transactions: Provide contract insights to support refinancing, acquisitions, and portfolio optimisation. Support negotiation and onboarding of new contracts as the portfolio grows.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in commercial contract management, ideally within energy, renewables, or infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of PPAs, Route-to-Market agreements, and energy market revenue mechanisms.
- Experience managing large and complex contract portfolios with multiple stakeholders.
- Familiarity with regulatory and reporting requirements in the energy sector.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen.
