We deliver cleaner and affordable energy by helping our customers maximise the performance, availability, and efficiency of their power plants.

The position involves reporting to the UK Supply Chain Manager. You will have the ability to build strong relationships and be confident working with key stakeholders across the UK plants up to Director level. This is an operational purchasing role where you will be closely linked to appointed power plants, working in direct day-to-day cooperation with plant teams to ensure the right goods and services are sourced, ordered, and delivered on time. You will cover all spend categories and services, owning supplier management, providing budgetary quotes, evaluating tender results and supporting deal negotiations in line with plant and business requirements.

Identifying and executing local and group cost saving initiatives, completing framework agreements or contracts for direct goods, with a large focus on professional service providers that operate within the energy sector environment. Preparing Purchase Orders and collaborating with couriers when required to monitor on-time delivery and invoice payment. The position will be based at the UK Warrington Head Office with a requirement to visit key plants that are being supported.

Qualifications

  • A Professional qualification in procurement, alternatively 5+ years experience in procurement sourcing and contract management.
  • Strong IT Skills, proficient with Microsoft applications and knowledge of ERP systems (IFS and Novacura would be advantageous).
  • Experience of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 (or OHSAS 189001).
  • General knowledge of power generation is not a necessity but preferable.

This role is a full-time role contracted for 40 hours per week. Some occasional and ad-hoc national travel may be required.
