Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electronics Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will apply a range of problem‑solving techniques—from theoretical modelling and simulation to hands‑on prototyping and testing—to develop innovative and robust electronic designs. This role also involves representing the company in interactions with clients, suppliers, and internal project teams.

Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of core electronic engineering principles.
  • Proficient in interpreting and creating schematics, PCB layouts and hardware documentation. Experience of Altium Designer preferred but not essential.
  • Proven experience in designing embedded systems and working with communication protocols such as USB, SPI, I2C, UART and CAN.
  • Strong systems‑level understanding, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex interactions across hardware, software and mechanical boundaries.
  • Familiar with key compliance standards such as EMC and electrical safety, with a good understanding of mitigation techniques required to deliver robust and compliant products.
  • Practical skills including soldering, board bring‑up testing, prototype assembly, fault finding and detailed performance testing.
  • Capable of developing embedded firmware in C/C++ to support hardware bring‑up, validation and functional testing.
  • Proficient in using high‑level languages such as Python for hardware testing, including instrument control, data acquisition and automated test sequencing.
  • Demonstrates creative and analytical thinking when solving complex engineering challenges, balancing practical constraints with inventive solutions.
  • Self‑motivated and equally effective working independently or collaboratively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills – comfortable in a client facing role.
  • A minimum of a 2:1 honours degree (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline.
