If you’re commercially minded, strategically focused and ready to drive growth in a dynamic, innovation-led product development company, we’d like to hear from you.

The Role:

As our Business Development Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of our growth strategy and play a pivotal role in driving commercial expansion across any of our target sectors, specifically MedTech, Lab/BioTech, Vetcare, Agritech, Consumer or Food/Drink. You will be responsible for identifying and converting new business opportunities, cultivating lasting client partnerships, and positioning eg technology as a trusted and go-to innovation partner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Business Growth: Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities across key regions and highly regulated sectors, within any of our target sectors.
  • Market Engagement: Represent eg technology at industry events, conferences and exhibitions to promote our brand and services, expand our network and develop sales opportunities.
  • Strategic Account Growth and Management: Build, develop and maintain long-term partnerships with industry leaders, R&D professionals and innovation teams, as well as new and existing clients.
  • Drive the Sales Cycle: Manage the sales process - from lead generation and relationship-building to proposal writing and contract negotiation - working collaboratively with the marketing, business development and wider technical team to deliver strategic, results-oriented solutions that drive high-value, long-term accounts.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re seeking a commercially astute, self-driven, results-oriented professional with a sharp focus on delivering business growth. We would like to see:

  • Demonstrated success selling consulting, engineering, or bespoke tech solutions into complex, enterprise-level organisations.
  • Evidence of being commercially savvy - based on experience or an MBA – and experience navigating complex sales cycles, with exceptional market awareness, providing valuable insights into driving business growth.
  • A well-established and credible network within any of our target sectors - specifically MedTech, Lab/BioTech, Vetcare, Agritech, Consumer or Food/Drink.
  • Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English, and demonstrated proficiency in engaging stakeholders across technical and executive levels.
  • Experience in writing technical proposals and managing the sales pipeline using a CRM platform (such as HubSpot).
  • A technical background in engineering or a relevant and comparable industry (highly desirable).

In addition to a competitive salary (which is dependent on experience), our employees benefit from:

  • 25 days’ annual leave with the opportunity to buy-back additional holiday
  • A discretionary profit bonus at the end of our financial year, a portion of which will be tax free through the EOT model
  • Generous matched contribution company pension scheme
  • Life Assurance
  • Investment in professional development and learning
  • A flexible working policy
  • Electric vehicle salary sacrifice scheme
