EG Group are looking for a Management Accountant to join the Finance team at Head Office. In this role, you will support the delivery of accurate and timely management accounts, financial reporting, and performance analysis across the business, while working closely with both Finance and operational stakeholders. Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in month-end processes, balance sheet control, budgeting, and financial analysis, helping to support decision-making and drive business performance. This role is well suited to a part-qualified accountant who is looking to develop their experience within a fast-paced, commercially focused environment with exposure to senior stakeholders and operational finance activities.
What you’ll be doing:
- Producing accurate monthly management accounts, journals, and balance sheet reconciliations within agreed deadlines.
- Leading or supporting month-end processes, ensuring reporting is accurate, complete, and aligned with Group requirements.
- Supporting variance and trend analysis, providing insights into financial performance across sites and cost centres.
- Working closely with operational and commercial teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and business decision-making.
- Managing balance sheet controls, fixed asset accounting, and ensuring financial risks are appropriately identified and managed.
- Assisting with quarterly reporting, statutory audits, and ad-hoc finance projects where required.
- Supporting the continuous improvement of finance processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.
What we’re looking for:
- Part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA).
- Previous experience in a Management Accounting or Assistant Management Accounting role.
- Strong Excel skills, with the ability to analyse and interpret financial data.
- Good understanding of month-end processes, journals, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Commercially aware, with the ability to work closely with operational stakeholders and support decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across the business.
- Proactive, adaptable, and eager to continue developing within a finance career.
