Euro Flight Training is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced, highly organised and proactive Operations Officer to take ownership of the day-to-day operational running of our flight training organisation.
You’ll be at the heart of EFT’s operation, coordinating aircraft and simulator bookings, training schedules, student progression, operational documentation, and the many moving parts that keep a busy flight school running safely, efficiently and compliantly.
What you’ll be responsible for
- Daily operations: Take ownership of the school’s day-to-day operational activity, ensuring everything runs smoothly, efficiently and to plan.
- Bookings & scheduling: Manage aircraft, instructor, student and simulator bookings, resolving clashes, disruptions and capacity issues before they become problems.
- Training courses: Coordinate training programmes from enrolment through to completion, monitoring progress, prerequisites, documentation and outstanding actions.
- ATO/DTO compliance: Understand the operational requirements of an approved and declared training organisation, including training records, procedures, documentation and regulatory responsibilities.
- Flight crew licensing & technical documentation: Confidently manage and verify training and licensing documentation, course records, licence and rating requirements, and associated administrative processes.
- Safety & compliance: Maintain accurate records, follow established procedures, support safety reporting and compliance monitoring, and ensure operational issues are identified and escalated appropriately.
- FSTD operations: Coordinate our flight simulation training device (FSTD) activity, learning and applying the relevant procedures, scheduling requirements and documentation.
- Communication & coordination: Act as a central point of contact for instructors, students, examiners, maintenance and management, ensuring information flows and actions are followed through.
- Continuous improvement: Spot inefficiencies, anticipate operational challenges and take ownership of resolving issues rather than waiting to be asked.
What we’re looking for
You must already have:
- Proven experience in flight training operations, ideally within a UK CAA ATO and/or DTO.
- A strong working knowledge of pilot training courses, flight crew licensing, ratings, training records and associated documentation.
- Practical experience managing aircraft, instructor and student scheduling in a live aviation environment.
- A sound understanding of aviation safety, compliance, procedures and the importance of accurate records.
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset, with the confidence to make decisions, resolve problems and take responsibility.
- Strong IT and administrative skills, with the ability to manage operational systems, records and data accurately.
- The ability to work independently, communicate professionally and maintain oversight of multiple activities simultaneously.
Experience with FSTD operations would be an advantage, although training on EFT’s specific simulator processes will be provided.
Who will thrive in this role?
Someone who understands that a flight school is a complex, constantly moving operation. You’ll be comfortable juggling priorities, anticipating problems, supporting instructors and students, and ensuring the details are taken care of without needing constant direction. We need someone who brings the knowledge, experience and initiative from day one.
