Here at West Bromwich Albion Football Club, we have exciting opportunities to join our Casual Matchday Stewards. We pride ourselves on establishing the best stewarding operation in the country. We are currently recruiting for Stewarding roles, with opportunities to carry out various roles including Response stewards, Exit Gate Stewards, and General Safety Stewards. A Level 2 Certificate in Spectator Safety is offered to applicants who do not already have it. Compliance with health and safety guidelines necessitates that applicants are 18 years of age or older. Casual contract – this may include evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required and in line with business needs. If this sounds like something you are interested in apply today!

Recruitment Process Information

Closing date for this role will be 5th June, we reserve the right to close this vacancy prior to this date. There will be a recruitment day at The Hawthorns Stadium, in which successful candidates will be invited to attend an interview with some of our senior stewards.

For this day you will need to provide a valid right to work, without these documents you will be unable to proceed in the recruitment day.

DBS

For this role a DBS is required. Therefore, we would need you to provide additional documents to support your application. For a list of all the valid documents you could provide please see the attachments Right to Work Checklist and DBS List of Acceptable Documents.

About The Candidate

Essential Criteria

  • A clear and effective communicator
  • An ability to remain calm in challenging circumstances.
  • An ability to produce clear well written incident reports.
  • A team player who shows a willingness to go the extra mile to assist supporters.
  • MUST engage in training within their first season to continue to be offered work as a Steward with WBAFC.
  • Highly organised and methodical approach to workload
  • Compliance with health and safety guidelines necessitates that applicants are 18 years of age or older.
  • Right to Work in the UK

Desirable Criteria

  • In some stewarding positions, previous experience may be required.
  • Level 2 Certificate in Spectator Safety
