About The Candidate
The Head of Fan Engagement will lead the Club's supporter engagement strategy, ensuring compliance with relevant football regulations and best practice, while fostering positive, constructive and transparent relationships between the Club and its supporters.
The Head of Fan Engagement will provide strategic advice and insight to the Executive Leadership Team and, where appropriate, the Board on supporter matters.
Essential Criteria
- Proven experience in supporter engagement, stakeholder engagement, customer experience, communications, public affairs, football operations or a comparable stakeholder-facing role.
- Experience working within professional football, sport, membership organisations or supporter-facing environments.
- Experience of developing and delivering engagement strategies, consultation programmes or stakeholder engagement plans.
- Experience of influencing senior stakeholders and presenting recommendations to leadership teams.
- Strong understanding of supporter culture and the role supporters play within professional football.
- Good understanding of the football regulatory environment, including supporter engagement requirements and emerging developments relating to the Independent Football Regulator (IFR).
- Excellent communication, relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with diverse audiences.
- Experience of managing sensitive, complex or high-profile issues, complaints or disputes with professionalism, diplomacy and sound judgement.
- Strong analytical, organisational and reporting skills, with the ability to identify trends and translate insight into practical recommendations.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrable commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, safeguarding and supporter welfare.
- Willingness and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, matchdays and occasional away fixtures as required.
- Full UK driving licence.
