Here at West Bromwich Albion Football Club we have an exciting opportunity to join our Academy Sports Science and Medical Team as Head of Academy Sports Science. As part of the Academy Sports Science & Medicine team, you will play a key part in being a leading performance team with the aim of enhancing the development of young players, measuring performance & development, and educating players, coaches and interdisciplinary staff. You will be delivering an elite service adopting a holistic approach to improving the performance of players across the full Academy with a particular focus on the U18’s.

Essential Criteria
- Extensive experience of working in the elite sporting environment.
- Postgraduate qualification in Sport Science, S&C or related field.
- BASES Professional membership and ability to obtain accreditation within an agreed time frame.
- Knowledge of LTAD frameworks.
- Good knowledge of the EPPP requirements.
- Team player.
- Positive attitude.
- Possess a strong awareness of equality, diversity and inclusion.
- Energy and enthusiasm.
- Highly organised and methodical approach to workload.
- Confidential and diplomatic.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbally.
- Full driving license.
- Right to Work in the UK.
Desirable Criteria
- UKSCA or NSCA Accreditation or ability to obtain within an agreed time frame.
- Experience of working in academy football.
- Experience using PMA.
