Here at West Bromwich Albion an exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated, forward-thinking and proactive individual to join our fully integrated Academy Performance Department as an Academy Performance Nutritionist.

This role is responsible for delivering nutritional interventions and education for academy players. The Academy Performance Nutritionist will deliver the performance nutrition strategy throughout the academy, providing high level, evidence based nutritional support that enhances the performance of academy players and educates key stakeholders throughout the phases. Additionally, the role will require regular and effective communication with the club’s sports science & catering staff to coordinate age-appropriate meal plans.

This is a full-time position where you will be required to work 37.5 hours per week which includes evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required and in line with business needs.

About The Candidate

What we are looking for?

Essential Criteria

BSc in sports science/nutrition or a related discipline
Nutrition qualification e.g. SENr Accredited (or ability to complete accreditation within an agreed time period).
Experience of working in elite sporting environments
ISAK trained and demonstrable experience of applying body composition methods
Ability to use various software packages to create highly visual and engaging education material.
Highly organised and methodical approach to workload
Confidential and diplomatic
Excellent communication skills both written and verbally
Right to Work in the UK

Desirable Criteria

Postgraduate degree in sports science, nutrition or related field (i.e., MSc/PhD/ProfDoc)
CASES Accreditation
Experience using Football Intelligence Platform/Kitman Labs
Full driving license
