About The Role
- Liaise with First Team Head Coach to manage the transition of players from Academy to Senior squad.
- Oversee on a day-to-day basis the Coaching Curriculum for U18 and U21 age groups, in line with Academy Coaching Principles.
- Support the U18 and U21 Lead Coaches on matchdays within the PDP games programme.
- Contribute to multidisciplinary reviews of all players in the PDP.
- Contribute to the production and delivery of PDP players\β ILPs.
- Manage the club\βs team which competes in the Professional Development League.
- Ensure sessions and games are appropriately planned, delivered, and reviewed in line with Club APP.
- Attend coaches\β meetings, MD meetings, and CPD events as set by the Academy Manager and Head of Coaching and Player Pathways.
- Coordinate and support player loans for PDP players in liaison with the Academy Manager, Sporting Director, First Team Head Coach, and PDP Lead Coaches to maximize player development.
- Make regular contact with PDP players out on loan, responding to any feedback.
- Coordinate regular club observations of loan players at their host clubs with all relevant staff.
About The Candidate
Qualifications:
- UEFA A Licence
- FA Advanced Youth Award β age-specific specialist element relevant to PDP
- Emergency First Aid in Football (EFAiF)
- UEFA Pro Licence (Desirable)
Experience:
- Proven track record of coaching in an elite Academy environment
- Coaching within the Professional Development Phase (U18 β U21)
- Previous experience coaching in a 1st team environment (Desirable)
Knowledge:
- Understanding of EPPP and audit requirements
- Knowledge of safeguarding, player care, and EDI
- Commitment to continued professional development
- Competent in analysis software packages e.g., Hudl (Desirable)
