About The Role

Working as part ofMiddlesbrough Football Club Foundation's Administration and Finance Team, therole will provide efficient and professional support across a range offunctions. This includes meeting and greeting visitors, managing bookings andenquiries, supporting recruitment and HR processes, coordinating travel andevents, and ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day office operations.

The role is central tomaintaining effective systems and communication, enabling colleagues across theFoundation to deliver high-quality programmes in line with our mission.

Front of House - Welcome and assist visitors

Monitor reception and public areas to ensure theyremain tidy, presentable, and welcoming.

Handle telephone enquiries, bookings, and payments.

Manage booking systems using online platforms and Excel.

Monitor shared inboxes and respond to enquiries promptly.

Support recruitment processes, including processing applications and coordinatingcandidate interviews.

Process internal requests for complimentary matchday tickets and otherexperiences.

Arrange travel and accommodation for employees.

Maintain and update the events calendar.

Distribute and monitor employee kit.

Manage office supplies and stock levels.

Carry out other ad hoc duties as required.

Ensure compliance with data protection and health & safety standards,undertaking training as necessary.

Promote inclusive practices, adapting resources to ensure equalopportunities for all.

The role has an element of flexibility, we are open to applications for candidates who are looking to work either 3 or 4 days per week - salary would be adjusted accordingly. Working hours will be 9am to 4pm, hours will be discussed at interview stage.

About The Candidate

Essential

Desirable

  • Charity sector or similar environment
  • Managing booking systems
  • Handling payments, including by telephone
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with visitors, customers, and colleagues.

Experience

  • Previous customer service and administrative work, ideally in a busy office or customer-facing environment
  • Liaising with customers by telephone, email, and in person

Qualifications

  • Strong written communication skills (e.g. GCSE English or equivalent experience)
  • IT-related qualifications (e.g. ECDL, Microsoft Office certifications)

Specific Skills and Knowledge

  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Good time management and organisation
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g. formulas, pivot tables, reporting)

Additional Requirements

  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Successful completion of a basic DBS check (arranged by the Foundation)
  • Full UK driving licence with access to own transport (including business insurance)
