The Role

Matchday Support Officers will play an important role in assisting the delivery of safe, efficient and professional matchday operations at Rodney Parade. This is a varied, hands-on role supporting the wider operational needs of the Club across all areas of a matchday or event environment. Duties may vary depending on operational requirements and could include supporter assistance, stadium preparation, accreditation checks, hospitality support, wayfinding, logistics, queue management and general event support. Shifts will include evenings, weekends and all home matchdays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of safe, efficient and professional matchday operations across Rodney Parade.
  • Assist with operational requirements as directed by supervisors and senior staff throughout matchdays and events.
  • Support stadium readiness, setup and general operational activity before, during and after fixtures.
  • Assist with supporter flow, queue management and access around the stadium where required.
  • Provide general event support across concourses, hospitality areas, entrances and other operational zones.
  • Help maintain clear walkways, access routes and safe working areas throughout the venue.
  • Report operational issues, incidents or maintenance concerns promptly to supervisors.

Supporter & Visitor Assistance

  • Provide a welcoming, friendly and professional presence for supporters, guests and visitors.
  • Assist with general enquiries including seating, directions, accessibility and stadium information.
  • Support a positive and inclusive experience for all attendees on matchdays and events.

Communication & Teamwork

  • Work closely with operational staff, stewards, security, hospitality and supporter services teams.
  • Follow matchday instructions and operational procedures issued by senior staff.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally in busy or fast-moving situations.
  • Assist with any additional reasonable operational duties required on matchdays or events.

Standards & Compliance

  • Follow all stadium safety, safeguarding and operational procedures.
  • Attend required briefings and training sessions.
  • Represent the Club in a professional, respectful and approachable manner at all times.
  • Support the Club’s commitment to safety, service standards and supporter welfare.
