A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the Newport County AFC Academy Coaching Department. The Academy is seeking to recruit a Lead YDP Coach responsible for implementing, monitoring and enhancing the Academy coaching programme in the Youth Development Phase age groups. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing players in line with Newport County AFC’s training/games programme and will work closely with the Academy Manager, Head of Coaching, Head of Schoolboy Football & Operations, coaching and performance staff to optimise player development.

- Recognised First Aid Qualification (Emergency Aid)
- EFAiFor Level 2 First Aid Equivalent

- PTLLS or other teaching qualification
- Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- Extensive knowledge and experience of the role and the position
- Experience working across academy age groups
- Experience working with young professional players
- Understanding of the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP)
- Experience of scouting & talent identification processes and procedures
- IT skills to include the ability to use Football Intelligence Platform (FIP) software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
