An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our enthusiastic and dedicated Retail team at Middlesbrough Football Club as a part time Sales Assistant. Based at the Riverside Stadium in Middlesbrough, the role will involve offering excellent customer service and after-sales care to our supporters in the Club shop.

  • Delivering exceptional customer service and after-sales support to supporters and customers.
  • Operating shirt printing machinery and preparing personalised orders.
  • Assisting customers with purchases, product enquiries, and general retail queries.
  • Processing transactions accurately at the till and handling payments.
  • Supporting stock control processes, including receiving and checking deliveries.
  • Tagging, replenishing, and displaying merchandise to maintain high retail standards.
  • Assisting with online orders and customer enquiries within the E-Commerce department.
  • Cashing up and balancing tills at the end of shifts.
  • Contributing to a positive, professional, and team-focused working environment.

About The Candidate

  • Has experience in retail, customer service, or e-commerce environments.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Is organised, reliable, and able to work effectively under pressure.
  • Is professional when dealing with a variety of customers.
  • Works well as part of a team and is willing to support colleagues when needed.
  • Is flexible and able to respond to the changing needs of the business, sometimes at short notice.
  • Holds a full driving licence, as travel between Club sites may occasionally be required.

This is a part-time position working 20 hours per week. Due to the nature of the business, working hours will vary across Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, with hours required to cover home fixtures on evenings and weekends where necessary. Flexibility is essential, particularly during busy matchday periods and Club events.
