Job purpose: To support the implementation of individual programmes for players within the Schoolboy Phase (U9 to U14).
Role Accountabilities and Key Duties
- To support the Game Model Coach with the delivery of coaching sessions for a Schoolboy age group.
- To plan, prepare and evaluate coaching sessions in line with the coaching methodology programme.
- To communicate and plan with the Lead Phase Coaches and Game Model Coaches to ensure players' individual learning plans are met within the programme.
- To enter all coaching sessions, fixtures, learning objectives, development reports, and other necessary work as required on the FIP within the required time scales.
- To lead and manage an age group on match-days as necessary.
- To provide a point of liaison for the relevant age group parents/guardians.
- To be available for all internal in-service and CPD events.
- To report to the Lead Phase Coaches and Methodology Manager (Academy) when appropriate.
- To attend all coaching meetings and other Academy meetings as necessary.
- To assist with the delivery of the Academy review process for Academy players and parents/guardians.
- To report any welfare concerns on players to the Club's Safeguarding Manager.
- To report any injury concerns on players to Medical Staff.
- To report any educational concerns on players to the Education Manager (Academy).
- To be responsible for the kit and equipment of the relevant age group.
- To develop a sound working knowledge of safeguarding children's regulations, including legislation and governing body rules.
- To undertake personal CPD as appropriate to meet the demands of the role.
- Participate in the appraisal process.
- Comply with all company policies/procedures. Adhere to all company regulations regarding policies, procedures, health, safety and security.

Essential:
- UEFA B Licence

- FA EFAiF Certificate
- FA Safeguarding Certificate
- Enhanced DBS Check
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Essential:
- Experience of coaching elite players, preferably within the Youth Development Phase
- IT skills to include a very high level of competence using Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint
- Good overall level of numeracy and literacy
- Ability to liaise empathetically and effectively with young players, parents, scouts, coaches and Club senior managers
Desirable:
- Valid full UK driver's licence
