Purpose of the post:
Assist the Chief Commercial Officer in delivering all appropriate sales and business-to-business related targets across Club Doncaster related organisations.
Retain and build business investment across Club Doncaster and attract new business across the organisation, in line with Club Doncaster and specific event and team strategies.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- To be the driving force of sponsorship and partnership opportunities at Club Doncaster working with national and regional businesses to secure commercial partnerships for Doncaster Rovers Football Club, Doncaster Rovers Belles Football Club and Doncaster Rugby League Football Club and Club Doncaster.
- Lead the development and execution of a sales strategy that grows the commercial partner base to 150 partners across all sectors, whilst supporting the revenue objectives of other areas of Club Doncaster and Eco-Power Stadium.
- Maintain strong relationships with partners to ensure delivery of partnership rights and long-term relationships between partner and organisation.
- To support the planning and delivery of the commercial department on a day-to-day basis, reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, and taking the lead on projects and KPI\’s.
- Line manage the day-to-day activity of the commercial department, coordinating and mentoring other members of the department, supporting them to achieve sales targets and partner delivery.
- To liaise with other Club Doncaster partners (both internally and externally) in order to utilise club resources such as player appearances and marketing.
- Provide regular reports and forecasting against financial KPIs to senior leadership team
- Work with other departments to achieve aims and objectives of the Commercial team and assist other departments with their organisational objectives.
- Perform a senior role in match day operations and events, including preparatory tasks and delivery on the day.
- Represent the department at internal meetings and the club at external meetings as required.
