Cleaning & Housekeeping

  • Undertake daily cleaning duties throughout the Training Ground, including offices, meeting rooms, corridors, changing rooms, toilets, communal areas and other designated facilities.
  • Maintain a consistently high standard of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation across all areas.
  • Clean and sanitise high-touch surfaces and areas in accordance with appropriate hygiene standards.
  • Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately and safely.
  • Vacuum, sweep, mop and clean floors and other surfaces as required.
  • Clean windows, mirrors, doors, fixtures and fittings as required.
  • Ensure changing rooms, player areas and staff facilities are prepared and maintained to an appropriate standard.
  • Replenish consumables including toilet rolls, hand soap, paper towels and other cleaning supplies.
  • Respond promptly to additional cleaning requirements arising from training, matches, meetings or other club activities

Health, Safety & Hygiene

  • Follow all Club health and safety procedures and safe working practices.
  • Use cleaning products, chemicals and equipment safely and in accordance with manufacturer instructions.
  • Ensure cleaning equipment is maintained, stored correctly and reported when damaged or defective.
  • Report any hazards, defects, damage or maintenance issues to the appropriate member of staff.
  • Maintain appropriate standards of hygiene and cleanliness in areas used by players, staff and visitors.
  • Follow all relevant COSHH requirements and Club procedures relating to the safe handling and storage of cleaning materials.

Football Club Environment

  • Maintain a professional and discreet approach when working within a football environment.
  • Respect the privacy and confidentiality of players, staff and visitors.
  • Conduct duties in a manner that minimises disruption to first team and academy activities.
  • Develop positive working relationships with first team, academy and operational staff.
  • Contribute to creating a positive, professional and welcoming environment at the Training Ground.
  • Support the Club's expectations around standards, professionalism, respect and presentation.

Safeguarding

  • Understand and comply with Crewe Alexandra Football Club's safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries when working around young players.
  • Report any safeguarding concerns promptly through the Club's designated procedures.
  • Complete all relevant safeguarding training required by the Club.

General Duties

  • Carry out any other reasonable duties consistent with the role and level of responsibility.
  • Demonstrate flexibility when operational requirements require additional or alternative cleaning duties.
  • Maintain punctuality, reliability and a professional standard of conduct at all times.
  • Represent Crewe Alexandra Football Club positively through personal conduct and standards of work.

About The Candidate

Essential

  • Previous experience in a cleaning, housekeeping or similar role.
  • Good understanding of general cleaning and hygiene practices.
  • Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks effectively.
  • Reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain consistently high standards.
  • Ability to work as part of a wider team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions, policies and health and safety procedures.
  • Professional approach to working in a football academy environment.

Desirable

  • Previous experience working within a sports, education, hospitality, leisure or similar environment.
  • Experience of working within a professional football club or academy.
  • Knowledge of COSHH and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
  • Relevant cleaning or health and safety qualifications.
