Manage the recruitment of Crewe Alexandra within assigned area, ranging from u6-u16 age groups. Support casual academy scouts with assignments by coordinating to ensure we have widespread coverage across the area. Be available and flexible to go to games of recommended talent by external parties or casual scouts. Maintain and build relationships with local stakeholders such as grassroots clubs, private academies and district/school teams.

About The Candidate

  • Work closely with area local academy scouts to achieve coverage aims you have set
  • Identify target competitions and organisations we should cover throughout the season
  • Ensure swift communication of highlighted players. If any players are recommended in your area, work with HoR to ensure they are followed-up within a 2-week window
  • Follow processes to inform home team prior to attendance of a match
  • Keep scout ID card present to provide identification upon request.
  • Engage with hosted CPD events and scouting development resources
  • Ensure a good representation of the club in duty
  • Input into club system of reporting teams, games and players
  • Support the development of strong relationships with other football club’s ranging from grassroots and private academies locally.
  • To engage with club target profiles as sent by Head of Recruitment
  • Ensure to conduct yourself in a manner that adheres to, complies with and supports the Club’s policies and procedures in accordance with but not exclusive to Health and Safety, Equality and Diversity and other relevant legal, regulatory, ethical and social requirements.
  • To always maintain a flexible approach to work.
