About The Role
Department: Senior Kit Department
Based at: Blackburn Rovers Senior Training Centre, Brockhall Village, Old Langho, Blackburn, BB6 8FA. Flexibility regarding location is required.
Reports to: Head of Football Operations
Responsible for: Senior Kit Department
Hours of work: 40 hours per week, plus any additional hours necessary for the performance of duties including regular evening and weekend work.
Contractual Status: Permanent
Job purpose
To manage and oversee a professional service in the provision of kit and equipment to all First Team and coaching staff at the Senior Training Centre.
Duties and responsibilities
- To be committed to ensuring the safeguarding and welfare of all staff and players, promoting their well-being whilst maintaining professional boundaries;
- To ensure a smooth and efficient running of the kit department;
- To oversee and audit equipment on a day-to-day basis;
- To organise and pack the necessary kit and equipment for all matches, daily training and training camp tours;
- To ensure all kit department equipment and machinery is kept and maintained to the highest standard;
- To repair and clean boots when necessary;
- Ensure Kit department presence at all matchdays;
- To arrange and organise cover for the Kit Department when required;
- Maintain a stock check and ensure all relevant kit is recorded accurately on a regular basis;
- To maintain confidentiality at all times;
- To liaise with the Director of Football and Head Coach on a regular basis to ensure all deadlines for kit use are met;
- Any other duties as reasonably assigned by the Director of Football.

Qualifications required
- Valid UK Driving Licence;
- Previous experience of working within a professional sporting environment.
