An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within Middlesbrough Football Club’s Category 1 Academy as a Part Time Academy Coach, based at the Club’s training ground in Hurworth, near Darlington.
THE ROLE: The successful individual will play a crucial role in developing individuals and the team within the Academy pathway. Working with the Lead Phase Coach and Head of Coaching, you will be expected to plan, deliver, and evaluate coaching sessions in line with the Club’s coaching program. You will be responsible for:
- Providing individual support to the players within the pathway, whilst also developing the team.
- Planning, leading and reviewing training sessions in line with the academy vision.
- Producing and developing individual learning plans for players within the academy.
- Attending home and away match days.
- Maintaining records via our online platform.
- Maintaining consistent communication with Lead Phase Coach, Head of Coaching and Academy Manager.
About The Candidate
CANDIDATES SHOULD:
- Hold a UEFA B Licence (Level 3).
- Have completed the FA Youth Award (Advanced Youth Award would be advantageous).
- Have experience of working with youth players in a professional football club.
- A professional playing career would be advantageous.
- Possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate excellent organisation skills.
- Ideally have experience of using a variety of computer software packages, including the PMA (Performance Management Application).
- Adopt a flexible approach to working hours, being prepared to work predominately on evenings and weekends.
- Be eligible to work in the UK.
- The emergency First Aid in Football (EFAIF) qualification would be advantageous, or a willingness to complete it within 6 months.
