The English Football League (EFL) is one of the world’s most historic and widely followed football competitions, representing 72 clubs across the Championship, League One and League Two. With a reach spanning over 200 territories and hundreds of millions of viewers globally, the EFL plays a central role in the football landscape both in the UK and internationally.

Following significant investment, the EFL is entering a new era of scale, relevance, and impact— in the stands, in communities, and with audiences around the world. As part of this, the EFL is appointing a Marketing Manager - Brand & Commercial, to support the delivery of its central marketing strategy and contribute to its continued growth.

The Impact You’ll Make:

The EFL is looking for a Marketing Manager to manage and implement its brand and commercial marketing activity across the EFL and its competitions. You will shape and deliver a consistent brand across all marketing channels and collateral, while supporting commercially focused campaigns that drive engagement, attendance, and partner value. This role combines ownership of the EFL’s brand with hands‑on campaign delivery, giving you the opportunity to contribute to how one of football’s largest competitions grows its profile and commercial impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the central brand positioning across the EFL and its competitions.
  • Ensure consistency of brand identity and messaging across all marketing channels and outputs.
  • Deliver branding and matchday activation across all 5 of the EFL Wembley Final events.
  • Work with all 72 member clubs and commercial partners of the EFL to educate and ensure correct usage of brand assets.
  • Create, plan and deliver commercially focused marketing campaigns run centrally by the EFL.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of the business objectives and strategic approach of the EFL commercial department, and support commercial team with delivery of commercially‑led campaigns.
  • Work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to align campaign activity with business objectives.
  • Monitor campaign performance and support reporting against key metrics.
  • Build strong working relationships across clubs, partners and stakeholders.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in brand marketing roles, ideally within sport, entertainment, or consumer‑facing environments.
  • Understanding of audience insight metrics and how they can be used to evolve brand values and positioning.
  • Knowledge of delivering all the component parts of branding for large‑scale events.
  • Experience delivering integrated marketing campaigns with a commercial focus.
  • Strong understanding of brand management and maintaining consistency across channels.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
