I am partnering with a fast-growing Technology company on a fantastic opportunity for a Technical Accounting Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.
For this role you will be reporting into the Head of Technical Accounting and work within the wider Group team.
This is a brilliant role for someone looking to step out of practice and into a their frist role in industry or someone who is looking for a step up.
In this role you'll be key in shaping the technical accounting framework of a business that's going through a lot of change.
What you'll be doing
- Advise group and unit finance/commercial teams on the accounting implications of deals and new contracts, reviewing the supporting analysis.
- Deliver regular accounting training to finance teams across the group.
- Lead group implementation of new and amended accounting standards.
- Set, review and monitor adherence to group accounting policies.
- Own key group accounting processes, goodwill impairment, share-based payments, going concern and long-term viability.
- Contribute accounting content to quarterly Audit Committee and Board papers.
- Own and review year-end and interim financial statement disclosures.
- Liaise with external auditors on accounting judgements and the group audit.
What we're looking for
- ACA qualified, ideally from a Top 10 practice
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, including reviewing and drafting accounting papers.
- Abilit to summarise techinical matters for multiple audiences.
- Excellent communication skills and able to translate complex accounting into clear business language
This role is perfect for someone who is looking to make their first step out of practice or someone who is already in a Technical Accounting role and would like to make that step up.
