An established international banking institution is seeking an experienced Assistant Vice President – Finance & Administration Officer to join its London office. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with strong regulatory reporting, financial accounting, and banking finance experience to play a key role in supporting the Bank's financial and regulatory obligations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation, review, and submission of statutory and regulatory reporting, whilst supporting finance projects and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare, review and submit all statutory and regulatory reports to relevant authorities including the Bank of England (BOE), Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA), and Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
- Produce management information and internal reporting for Head Office and senior management.
- Ensure reporting templates, data fields, and reporting requirements remain up to date and compliant with regulatory changes.
- Support regulatory reporting system enhancements, testing, UAT activities, and implementation projects, including Vermeg-related initiatives.
- Perform reconciliations, source data verification, and management reporting checks.
- Assist in maintaining the integrity of the General Ledger and ensure compliance with accounting policies.
- Support financial accounting, bookkeeping, budgeting, forecasting, and management accounting activities.
- Liaise with regulators, auditors, HMRC, and Head Office stakeholders.
- Assist with VAT accounting and VAT return submissions.
- Maintain accurate records, reporting documentation, procedures, and operational manuals.
- Provide cover for colleagues during periods of absence and contribute to wider departmental initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory, compliance, and internal governance requirements.

Essential Skills & Experience:- Experience within banking or financial services finance functions.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements and UK banking regulations.
- Experience preparing regulatory returns for BOE, PRA and FCA.
- Solid financial accounting, management accounting, and reconciliation experience.
- Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, VAT accounting, and financial controls.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet strict reporting deadlines.
- Effective stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage confidently with regulators, auditors, Head Office, and internal teams.
- Advanced Excel and financial systems knowledge.
- Experience with Vermeg regulatory reporting systems.
- Previous exposure to banking audits and regulatory inspections.
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or actively studying towards qualification.
