Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leaders to enhance the proposition to improve client outcomes, competitiveness and commercial performance.
- Lead proposition governance and run the Proposition Governance Committee, including drafting and presenting key papers.
- Maintain an end-to-end, client-centred proposition that delivers fair value and prevents foreseeable harm.
- Build effective relationships across operations, finance, compliance, commercial and risk functions.
- Own reporting of fair value metrics and Consumer Duty outcomes; produce the annual holistic Client Fair Value Assessment.
- Oversee vulnerable client outcomes across the proposition.
- Analyse complex data to inform proposition decisions and act as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders.
- Ensure clear market positioning aligned to corporate strategy.
- Develop enhanced proposition MI and reporting to identify risks, escalate issues and mitigate client harm swiftly.
- Track industry trends, competitor activity and regulatory change; lead impact assessments and oversee action closure.
- Ensure compliance with evolving regulation and internal governance frameworks.
- Manage third-party and outsourced service provider relationships end to end.
- Lead and develop a small team, fostering high standards and continuous improvement.
- Prioritise multiple initiatives in a fast-moving environment.
Requirements
- Proven end-to-end proposition management and oversight experience within wealth management.
- Strong knowledge of the UK wealth and asset management market and regulatory environment, with a focus on the Consumer Duty.
- Deep understanding of mass-affluent financial planning products, client advice journeys, governance and reporting.
- Commercially astute with strong analytical capability.
- Experienced in preparing board-level papers and presenting to C-suite/governance committees.
- Track record of leading and developing teams in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Skilled at interpreting complex data to support critical decisions.
- Awareness of key competitors and wider industry developments.
