We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our team for a 12 month period. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside investment professionals and gain exposure to various aspects of private equity, including origination, deal execution and portfolio management, providing a comprehensive learning experience in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research and company screening to support deal origination
  • Assist in drafting company profiles and analysis of potential investment opportunities
  • Participate in deal sourcing activities, including drafting email outreaches and joining expert calls
  • Support the monitoring of portfolio companies and assist with value creation initiatives
  • Support the deal team with day-to-day administrative tasks, e.g. updating the deal and relationship management system (DealCloud), writing up file notes, etc.

Qualifications and skills

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, STEM or a related field
  • Strong academic performance with a minimum 2:1 degree
  • Previous internship experience in finance or investment-related role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel
  • Highly motivated with a “can do” attitude
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
