Senior C# Developer - Risk Technology
12-Month Contract | London | Hybrid Working
A global investment bank is looking for a Senior C# Developer to join a Risk Technology team responsible for the development and support of business-critical Market and Credit Risk systems.
This is a hands-on engineering role working closely with Risk users, Front Office stakeholders and fellow developers to deliver enhancements, new functionality and strategic improvements across a well-established risk platform.
The environment combines modern development practices with a large existing technology estate, making it particularly well suited to developers who enjoy solving complex problems and improving business-critical systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and enhance applications using C# and .NET
- Work closely with Risk teams and Front Office users to deliver technology solutions
- Develop and optimise SQL Server databases and data processes
- Deliver software changes through an Agile SDLC
- Contribute to architecture, design and technical decision making
- Support production systems and participate in the ongoing improvement of the platform
- Deliver regulatory, reporting and strategic technology initiatives
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience developing applications in C#
- Excellent SQL Server / T-SQL skills
- Experience delivering software solutions throughout the full development lifecycle
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work directly with business users and senior stakeholders
- Experience within financial services environments
Desirable Experience
- Market Risk, Credit Risk or Risk Technology
- Investment Banking or Capital Markets
- CI/CD and automated testing
- Enterprise-scale application development
- Supporting or modernising legacy platforms
