Key Responsibilities
- Programme Delivery Leadership : Own and lead the successful execution of complex, multi-million-pound transformation programmes, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, measurable user outcomes, and long-term impact-not just budget, scope, and timelines.
- Governance and Assurance : Establish and maintain robust programme governance structures, drive clear accountability, and proactively manage risks and issues to protect delivery and build client trust.
- Commercial Management : Meet or exceed profitability goals while delivering accurate forecasts and reporting across key metrics, including cost, revenue, and margin.
- Client and Stakeholder Engagement : Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, including Director and CxO-level decision-makers, to ensure solutions meet evolving priorities and expectations.
- Account Growth and Business Development : Play a strategic role in account planning and growth, identify new business opportunities, and contribute to compelling bids and proposals that align with client goals.
- Innovation and Process Improvement : Champion continuous improvement by encouraging innovation in processes, tools, and technologies to enhance delivery outcomes and team performance.
- People Leadership : Lead and support a diverse team of delivery professionals, foster a high-performance culture, and create an inclusive, empowering environment focused on development and wellbeing.
Essential Experience & Skills
- A minimum of 7 years of programme or delivery management experience, leading complex digital transformation initiatives-particularly within the Public Sector and/or Healthcare.
- Proven ability to deliver multi-million-pound programmes on time and within budget, while managing multi-functional, agile teams.
- Strong background in stakeholder management at senior levels (Director/CxO), with the ability to influence and communicate effectively.
- Demonstrated leadership of programme delivery teams, including direct line management and team development responsibilities.
- Experience supporting business development efforts, identifying growth opportunities, and contributing to strategic bids and tenders.
- Commercial acumen with a strong understanding of delivery economics, particularly in multi-supplier ecosystems.
- Experience setting up and enforcing strong governance frameworks and technical quality standards.
- A broad knowledge of digital and technology trends, alongside modern software delivery and engineering practices.
- Resilient, composed under pressure, and able to balance client expectations with commercial realities and team wellbeing.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills-with a collaborative and solutions-focused mindset.
- Willingness to travel as needed to support clients and delivery teams across the UK.
Desirable Qualities
- Experience delivering national-scale digital transformation programmes for Healthcare or Government bodies.
- A track record of contributing to Public Sector or Healthcare bid submissions, with strong bid writing capabilities.
- Demonstrated thought leadership through public speaking, blogs, or industry contributions.
- Proven ability to shape new service offerings based on delivery insights and client needs.
- Holds a recognised programme management or agile delivery certification (e.g., MSP, PRINCE2, SAFe, Scrum)
