Education Requirements Background in accounting, finance, engineering, or an MBA (or equivalent qualification) Experience Requirements Minimum of 3 years’ experience in financial modeling related to project finance, complex transactions, or asset valuation Proven experience in at least one of the following: power/energy sector, infrastructure, project finance, or business valuation Background in finance, accounting, engineering, or MBA (or equivalent qualification) Experience managing financial models from a valuation or asset management perspective Prior professional or personal exposure to African markets is highly beneficial Experience working across multiple stakeholders and organizational levels Exposure to working with development finance institutions, lenders, or investor reporting is a plus Responsibilities Build, update, and manage complex financial models for operational and in-construction assets Ensure models reflect actual performance, construction timelines, balance sheets, and return metrics Convert investment-case models into operational tools post-construction and track actuals vs. forecasts Support company-wide financial planning and corporate valuation exercises Maintain alignment between three-year business plans and long-term valuation models Assist with lender communication including disbursement requests, reporting, waivers, and distribution Provide input for Investment Committee and Board documents Deliver investment analysis on existing asset portfolios, including capex evaluations and performance improvements Coach and support local asset teams in managing their financial models (as needed) Conduct ad-hoc analytical work, including competitor and market research to support planning and valuation
