Role Summary

We are seeking a senior-level Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst to join our Front Office Technology Execution team.

This is a hands‑on technical leadership position responsible for establishing, designing, and implementing critical enhancements to our derivative trading platforms, with a primary focus on North American (CME, ICE, Montreal, Brazil) and European (Eurex, ICE UK, Euronext, LME) markets.

The overall objective of this role is to lead application systems analysis and programming activities.

You will partner with Futures Product teams, Client Sales Executives, and internal technology groups to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.

The ideal candidate will resolve high-impact problems by evaluating complex business processes and system flows, ensuring that all application designs adhere to the overall architecture blueprint and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership & System Design
  • Lead application systems analysis and programming activities, providing technical guidance and oversight to the development team.
  • Provide expertise in your domain and an advanced knowledge of applications programming to ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint.
  • Utilize your advanced knowledge of system flow to develop and enforce standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
  • Serve as an advisor and coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary to meet project goals.
  • Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define technical issues and develop innovative solutions.
  • Business Analysis & Solution Delivery
  • Partner with multiple management teams to ensure the appropriate integration of functions, identify necessary system enhancements, and deploy new products and process improvements.
  • Analyze complex project issues and produce key artifacts, including Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), technical specifications, and Test Strategies.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and scripts to ensure solutions are robust and fit for purpose.
  • Liaise with Compliance, Risk, and Control functions to ensure adherence to all regulatory policies and internal controls for electronic trading.
  • Project & Delivery Management
  • Manage and implement successful projects, ensuring timely delivery of technical solutions.
  • Identify, communicate, and mitigate key project risks and inter-dependencies from a technical perspective.
  • Work hands‑on with vendor and internal systems to manage the implementation of new offerings.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding its clients and assets.
  • Required Experience & Knowledge
  • Proven experience in an Applications Development or Systems Analysis role.
  • Extensive experience in systems analysis and the programming of software applications.
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development relevant to the front‑office trading domain.
  • Deep understanding of Futures & Options products, electronic trading workflows, and market micro‑structure.
