Our client is a European private debt fund with circa Β£4bn AUM. As part of its growth plans, a new fund accountant is sought to join their Finance team. You will be a fully qualified accountant (likely ACA or ACCA) from a top mid-tier accounting/audit practice with a combination of accounts preparation and audit work. You will ideally have had exposure to fund management or real estate clients
The Role:
- Detailed review of quarterly and annual fund and SPV accounts prepared by administrators.
- Review fund drawdown and distribution notices to LPs.
- Oversee management fee calculations, fund invoicing and payments.
- Liaise with auditors regarding the audit of annual accounts.
- Assist in reviewing investor tax reporting for the US and UK.
- Liaise with administrators on KYC items across all vehicles and structures.
- Assist with ad hoc investor queries.
- Work with the asset management team to maintain accurate loan data.
- Ensure the smooth operation of payment and loan authorisation processes.
- Review borrower loan statements prepared by the administrator.
- Maintain fund and loan performance models, both actual and forecast.
- Undertake cash-flow forecasting, liquidity and treasury work.
Requirements:
- You will be a fully qualified accountant, likely to be newly/recently qualified (ACA or ACCA)
- Ideally have exposure to investment funds, including private debt, private equity or real estate
- Be intellectually curious, work in a proactive manner and work well as part of a small team
