Job Description
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide support for the execution of debt financing engagements, including review of documentation and managing counterparties
- Assist in the preparation of financial and strategic presentations for clients including marketing pitches
- Oversee the research of clients, their industries, and overall debt markets
- Create cash flow models and related credit analyses
- Significant interaction with clients on a regular basis alongside senior bankers
- Assist in training and development of analysts and interns
REQUIREMENTS/COMPETENCIES
- 3-5 years' experience in debt advisory or direct lending within a bank, advisory firm or leading accounting firm
- ACA beneficial but not essential
- Sound understanding of accounting, corporate finance, and debt markets
- A high level of attention to detail and the ability to develop and deliver effective and “error-free” analyses, client presentations and internal and external communications in a timely fashion
- Proficient knowledge in transaction tasks including credit analysis, financial modelling, and drafting documentation
- The ability to synthesize information effectively in order to create persuasive and well-supported client “pitches” and advisory presentations
- Relevant transaction experience and a sound understanding of deal process management
- The ability to work independently and with minimal supervision as well as to act as a collaborative team member
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and self-aware with a demonstrable commitment to ongoing professional development
