Job Description
We have recently been exclusively instructed by a leading US hedge fund who are looking to bolster their EM corporate credit team with the addition of an analyst.
Our client is well established, with a track record spanning several decades, currently managing in excess of $10bn AUM across multiple funds and strategies. The firm is well known for its focus on emerging markets, and is particularly well known for its corporate credit coverage within this space. The Role:
Our client is looking to hire a Corporate Credit Analyst to join the global research team, based in London. The successful candidate will cover a number of emerging market corporates while also contributing to broader global credit market analysis with a macro perspective.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct bottom-up credit analysis of emerging market corporates, with a particular focus on high-yield issuers across multiple regions and sectors.
- Provide timely insights, commentary, and views on company-specific developments and wider credit market events.
- Monitor and interpret global credit data across both emerging and developed markets, bringing a macro overlay to the analysis.
- Communicate findings to portfolio managers and contribute actively to the investment decision-making process.
- Present in global investment meetings on both company-specific and broader credit market topics.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across international offices.
Requirements:
- ~2–4 years’ experience as a corporate credit analyst, ideally gained at an asset manager, investment bank, or hedge fund.
- You MUST have exposure to Emerging Markets
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with advanced Excel proficiency.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently.
- Flexible and open-minded, with the ability to work across a broad range of credit topics beyond company-specific analysis.
- CFA Charter holder (strongly preferred).
