A leading alternative investment firm managing capital on behalf of institutional investors, with a strong reputation for innovation, growth and operational excellence. This is a London based role.

Chief Information Officer - Asset Management responsibilities:

  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of IT systems, ensuring they meet the company's needs.
  • Develop and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Define and execute the firm's technology strategy, aligning it with our investment and operational objectives.
  • Lead the modernisation of core systems
  • Drive the design and implementation of a secure, scalable data architecture to support advanced analytics and regulatory compliance.
  • Partner with investments, investor relations, and finance teams to identify opportunities for automation, workflow optimisation, and digital client engagement.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate technology contracts to ensure value and performance.
  • Build and mentor a high-calibre technology team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure robust cybersecurity measures and disaster recovery plans are in place to protect sensitive financial and client data.
  • Oversee the management and development of our facilities and service support functions to deliver a continually high-quality of service to the firm

Profile

  • Proven experience in a senior technology leadership role within asset management, private equity, or a related financial services environment.
  • Strong track record of delivering enterprise technology transformations, ideally in data-driven and regulated environments.
  • Deep understanding of investment management systems, data platforms, and integration architectures.
  • Experience with cloud technologies (Azure) and modern data tools (Snowflake, Fabric).
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at Board and Executive level.
  • A strategic mindset combined with the ability to execute and deliver measurable results.
