An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Category Manager to join a growing Procurement & Supply Chain function, shaping strategy across a broad range of categories.
With £500m of annual third-party spend to analyse and influence, this is a role where commercial thinking, strategic sourcing and supplier management can make a real impact.
What you'll be doing:
- Developing and implementing category strategies across goods, works and services.
- Analysing spend to identify savings, efficiencies and value-add opportunities.
- Leading sourcing activity, negotiations and contract development.
- Building strong supplier relationships and driving performance.
- Managing contract renewals, mitigating supply chain risks and reducing total cost of ownership.
- Working with stakeholders to deliver procurement objectives and measurable results.
What we're looking for:
- Proven experience developing and delivering successful category strategies.
- Strong spend analysis and commercial acumen.
- Experience with complex contracts, sourcing and supplier negotiations.
- Excellent stakeholder management and attention to detail.
- Confidence managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
