Fashion Retail Academy offers Full-Time (39 Hours, 5 days per week) and Part-Time (23.4 Hours, 3 days per week) contracts, Term-Time Only, Permanent.

About the role: We are seeking a creative Cover Tutor to support students studying Fashion Design, Fashion Retail, and Visual Communications qualifications at the Fashion Retail Academy. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic learning environment and play a key role in maintaining high-quality teaching and student engagement across a range of fashion-focused subjects. As a Cover Tutor, you will deliver planned cover sessions, support classroom learning, and provide additional academic and practical assistance to students when not covering lessons. You will help create an inclusive, motivating, and professional learning environment that encourages creativity, confidence, and industry readiness.

About you:

  • Qualifications: Maths and English GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above. A qualification in Fashion, Fashion Retail, Business, Visual Communications, Art & Design, or a related subject is beneficial but not essential.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a teaching assistant, cover tutor, or similar role, along with relevant vocational or professional experience in education, fashion, business retail, or fashion design.
  • Expertise: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage student behaviour and engage effectively.
  • Skills: Confidence managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment and the ability to adapt quickly to different teaching situations and learning needs.
  • Values: You'll be a collaborative team player with a genuine interest in supporting young people's education. You will demonstrate professionalism, inclusivity, creativity, and a commitment to helping students build confidence, develop skills, and achieve their potential.
