Our Global Brand Partnerships team is seeking a Senior Director, Global Brand Partnerships to lead ESL Faceit Group’s most impactful brand partnership initiatives. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of securing new brand alliances while fostering and expanding long-term partnerships, helping these brands reach their objectives within the esports and gaming landscape. As a key driver of revenue growth, you’ll play a crucial role in strengthening ESL FACEIT Group’s presence across Europe and beyond.

This role requires a strategic yet independent approach to monetizing existing EFG’s products, alongside creating unique, engaging brand initiatives that captivate esports and gaming communities and deliver on key performance indicators (KPIs). Collaborating closely with the global EFG team, you will ensure integrated development and bring strategic visions to life, both online and at live events. This is an exciting opportunity to see your ideas make a tangible impact in one of the most dynamic industries.

This role is a hands-on sales leadership position, driving brand partnerships through strategy, collaboration, and client management. The ideal candidate will identify opportunities in key product categories, developing custom 7-8-figure partnerships with aligned brands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pipeline Development: Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients and industry partners, leveraging relationships with senior brand and agency contacts to maximize partnership potential.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with key clients, proactively seeking new initiatives and growth within those accounts.
  • Strategy & Implementation: Develop and lead sponsorship and partnership strategies that expand ESL FACEIT Group’s customer base and deliver on growth, revenue, and service targets in line with our business goals.
  • Market Insights: Identify trends in advertising and marketing strategies within target sectors, offering tailored solutions to meet evolving partner needs.
  • Full Partnership Lifecycle Ownership: Oversee the partnership process from initial contact to contract signing, educating potential partners on ESL FACEIT Group’s vision, products and brand.

Who You Are:

  • Sales Mindset: You bring a dynamic approach to sales with a deep understanding of the media landscape and a foundational knowledge of gaming and esports.
  • Proven Results: You have a solid track record of consistently driving revenue and achieving positive outcomes in a pan-national or global sales environment.
  • Passion for Digital Entertainment: You’re deeply passionate about digital entertainment (gaming, creators, esports) and take a proactive, hands-on approach, staying ahead of trends in brand communication.
  • Communication Skills: You possess excellent communication and presentation skills in English. Proficiency in additional languages such as Spanish, German, Italian, or Arabic is a plus.
  • Global Mobility: You are open to international travel.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or more than 8 to 10 years of equivalent experience/qualification
  • A strong global network, established set of relationships with brands and agencies
  • Experience within the media/advertising landscape and working with global agencies and clients directly
  • Fully capable of building and maintaining relationships with clients and delivering on objectives and KPIs
  • Creative thinking and ability to create and maintain strong client and industry-wide relationships
  • Structured thinker and strong presenter with the ability to map out a strategic plan for each client
  • Strong understanding of deal valuation and ROI/ROO measurement practices, with an experienced record of using data/analytics to drive profitability
  • Self-starter, tenacious, and motivated by the delivery of targets, entrepreneurial mindset
  • Ability to be a good team player is essential; must be able to establish strong working relationships with people throughout the global organization and identify collaboration opportunities between departments when possible
  • A genuine passion for gaming and a desire to learn about the Esports industry
  • Previous experience working in esports/ gaming/ sports/ entertainment industries
