We’re Effra. We’re fixing health insurance billing for UK health clinics - a market full of clinics drowning in admin, chasing insurers for money they’re already owed, using software built in the 90s. Clinics using Effra get paid in 13 days instead of 53, recover 3.4% more revenue, and save hours a week of admin. We are a small team where everyone has a big impact. We’ve grown revenue significantly since launching in 2024. We’ve never focused on marketing so all the growth has been organic. We’re now ready to accelerate that.
The role involves owning everything that drives MQLs and supports revenue growth. There’s no playbook - you’re here to build it:
- Figure out where clinic owners hang out (professional bodies, forums, WhatsApp groups, events) and show up there.
- Run fast experiments across a whole range of areas - content, SEO, paid, partnerships, referral schemes, events and communities. Kill what doesn’t work, double down on what does.
- Build the case study and social proof engine - our customers are already evangelists so there’s a lot of potential here.
- Own the website, funnel, analytics and attribution.
- Build referral partnerships with practice management systems (e.g. Cliniko, Pabau, TM3, PPS) and anyone else who has clinic owner trust.
- Own the event strategy: which conferences, dinners and roundtables are worth our time.
- Work alongside the founders producing content that positions Effra as the experts in insurer billing.
You should have:
- 4+ years in B2B growth, demand gen or full-stack marketing - ideally at an early-stage startup where you had to figure it out yourself.
- Always learning. You can tell us what you tried, what worked, what didn’t and what you learned.
- Commercially astute. Sharp on ROI and can spot a cheap experiment that punches above its weight.
- Hands-on. You know where you can add value and you get on with it. Comfortable in ambiguity. We don’t know what’s going to work and finding out is the job.
- Happy in person. We are primarily found working together in our Shoreditch office.
- Nice-to-have: UK SMB marketing experience (clinics, vets, accountants), or healthtech / fintech / vertical SaaS background.
What you’ll get:
- High ownership from day one and clear visibility on your impact.
- A big, broken, barely-served market with no incumbent doing what we do.
- Working closely with three experienced founders who met while part of the team building GoCardless.
- An office in Shoreditch with low-ego but high impact colleagues.
